11:01 PM - the evils of television and film When Nancy & I watched Closer several months ago, I told her I was seriously considering swearing off dating forever, seeing how evil all the characters were to one another. Luckily, the effects of that movie wore off and I felt as if the emotional scars it left healed well enough for me to once again be open to dating. But then my favorite shows and movies keep depicting these screwed up relationships & friendships where people heartlessly hurt one another! I cannot handle it. I don't want this art to be imitating life. You all out there are honest, loving folk, right? Don't cheat on each other, and don't cheat on me if I decide I'm in love with you. Thanks bunches.
