3/3/06 - 2: another one bites the dust + in with the old, in with the new

1:20 PM - another one bites the dust One of my two oldest friends in the entire world is gettin' hitched. We've known each other since we were little fetuses (feti?) in our mothers' bellies. How charming is that? Ick. In any case, Laurie Min in in in is getting hitched. I can't believe it.

12:05 AM - in with the old, in with the new How is it possible I keep befriending awesome people when I already have so many wonderful friends in my life? Tonight I went downtown after my class. Hungry for a burrito at Barberitos after a conversation about said establishment with a new friend the other night, I parked my car in front of the brand new Hilton (!) on Washington and walked around town for a bit. During this walk, I called my newish friend and asked her to meet me out for a drink. She and S. met me out and we had a blast at the Globe. After very little beer (maybe 1 and 1/3?) I confessed to the girl that she was the one & only name on my Girls I'd Like to Kiss List. And she reciprocated! I'm thinking Saturday night at S.'s party might hold some action. Hilarious. I don't want to date her and can't imagine anything past kissing being appealing (and she agrees). But damn, she sure is cute! Had a lovely evening, overall. Some other folks showed up. One friend's ex was there and was very flirtatious, not knowing that I was friends with his former lady. This made me feel really uncomfortable and vaguely ill. Ick. Today I had a Chris H. spotting that brought me much joy. He had normal headphones on (non-whitey-iPod-phones), which threw me for a loop. Lovingly, ME!!
