12/2/05 - If Delta doesn't go under, I'll be traveling in style!

December 2, 2005 - Friday

4:26 PM - If Delta doesn't go under, I'll be traveling in style!

First of all, what's the deal with my sudden desire to post personal information on the web? O! Am I yearning for that deep, beautiful, flickery-screen-lit human connection? Um...no. But I am enjoying being online "working" in another window while really indulging in some healthy egocentrism on myspace.

Anywho. I just found out that I crossed a very important line, the line that divides the lowly peon flyers from the South America + Europe free ticket-winners. I now am in possession of 50,552 Delta SkyMiles, which means I can fly round trip to visit Sweet in Dublin...or go to Buenos Aires again...or take two different U.S.A./Canada/Alaska trips. Or think about how with double my mileage I could go to the South Pacific and sing "Happy Talky Talky" all day long.

These miles are MINE! MINE! And by "mine" I mean, Thanks Mom & Dukie, for paying for all my flights to and from NYC during college and allowing me to gain so many airline points.

SUPER JAN!!

Gregoire,

If you are unfamiliar with the South Pacific tune "Happy Talky," I must encourage you to listen to it, or perhaps a section of it, on iTunes. It will get in your head and never leave. Truly, the last time I heard it was in 1997 or so and I still wake up each morning and great the dawn with a little tune that goes a lil' something like this:

Happy Talky Talking Happy Talk!
Talk about things you LIKE tooo DOOO
You've got to have a drrrreeam
If you don't have a drreeeam
How you gonna make that dream come true?

(All lyrics could be completely wrong, but I like my version...)
