I just remembered one of my favorite quotes of all time.
Once my dad and I were visiting my grandma in Pittsburgh. We were near the elevator bank when we came upon a woman in a wheelchair. She stopped dead in her tracks, looked at my dad in happy surprise, and said, "And who is this tall, shiny building of a man?!"
I hope he was flattered. I know I thought it was a pretty awesome compliment.

Ma or Rose, do you remember if it was "shining" and not "shiny"? I think it may have been "shining." It's a wonderful quote in any case.
I don't recall if I heard her at all, just remember how you told me about the woman. I mean, maybe I was up in the apt. with Grandma. My mom has such an array of colorful fellow residents eh?
Ya know what? I think "shining" is better. Let's just assume that's what she said.
